Clergy Licensure
Welcome to online clergy license renewal! Read this entire page carefully before you begin. This contains the information for our current 2023 Clergy Licensing Cycle.
The following information will guide you through the process of filing your 2023 Clergy Licensure information with the Vocational Leadership Coordinator.
Form Instructions
Once again this year, there is one Fillable Form. Please visit the Clergy Licensing Folder on the Resource Bank to download the appropriate form for your Protocol.
2During 2023 you will again be required to have at least 2 CEU hours must have been in the area of anti-oppression.PLEASE Download the Form to your Computer First, and open/edit it in Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat rather than trying to fill it out using your web browser. (Web browsers like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer may have limitations that adversely impact your ability to complete the form.) If you click the link and the form opens in your web browser, please SAVE it to your computer before filling it out and sending it back to us. Technology is not flawless, so please SAVE a copy often and make sure you retain one even after you have sent it to us. (We have added some buttons to the bottom of the form itself to assist you with this.)
Rather than needing to have your certification form physically/literally signed, we are asking you for the contact information of your supervisor. If you are a supervisor for other clergy, please list those whose ministries you are certifying in the space provided. We will cross check this information and follow up if there are any questions. It is incumbent upon the person filing this form to be honest and truthful about the number of hours being worked, which must be a minimum of 15 in order to qualify for “active” status.
Please submit your form only once. To submit the form electronically, please download the appropriate PDF from the Clergy Forms section and return it to clergylicense@MCCchurch.net as an email attachment. Please be sure your attachment has your saved updates.
To submit the form in hard copy, please print the completed form and mail it to our office:

Payment (US/Canada Instructions Only)

We will issue your license once we have received both your completed form and payment.
If payment for your Clergy License is being submitted via PayPal, please ensure that your name is included in the details on the payment. If, however, the Clergy License fee is paid by check, your name must be included in the Memo section of the check. Make the check payable to UFMCC. These steps are very important to ensure that fees are applied correctly. The early bird rate is $175 USD and the regular rate is $325 USD.
If you have extenuating circumstances that prohibit you from being able to pay your fee, please contact VLC@MCCchurch.net.
Common Clergy Licensure Situations
Chaplains and Those Serving in additional Ministry settings
Chaplains must have a separate Application on file with our office to serve as an MCC Chaplain. Clergy serving in ministries outside of a local MCC congregation or denominational ministry must have a separate Ministry Outside Local Congregation form on file with our office. You can download these forms from the Forms & Manuals folder on the MCC Resource Bank.
Continuing Education
In your reporting for CEU hours for 2022 please report on the completion of the required 9 units (9 contact hours) in whatever topical area feels most germane to you. If you attended any of the numerous workshops or classes offered in 2022 please note them as appropriate. 2 CEU hours must have been in the area of anti-racism, anti-oppression, or anti-colonialism.
NOTE: During 2023 you will again be required to have at least 2 CEU hours must have been in the area of anti-oppression. This will be reported on your 2024 license renewal form. If you have questions if a course is acceptable, please be in contact with the Vocational Leadership Coordinator VLC@MCCchurch.net.
A Note About License Processing Time
If you submit your form by the early deadline of midnight PST 30 November 2022, we will try our best to email your clergy license before the end of the calendar year. After the first of December, our processing time may be delayed by a few additional weeks. Please complete this process prior to the early deadline. This year licenses will be emailed to you so please be sure your email address is current. If you need a hard copy to be mailed to you, you may indicate that on the form.
