June brings with it a vibrant reminder that love knows no boundaries and faith is a sanctuary meant for all people. Across continents, oceans, and state lines, a beautiful, worldwide tapestry of inclusive worship is unfolding. Various MCC communities are taking to the streets and sanctuaries to proclaim a message of radical inclusion. These regional and international celebrations are not just standalone events; they are vital chapters in an interconnected global narrative. Together, they demonstrate that queer communities are reclaiming their spiritual heritage, celebrating their identities, and moving forward with unyielding joy and hope.
Worship Space Rainbow Setups
In showcasing the physical environment of celebration, MCC churches transformed their sanctuaries with a rainbow motif, to let the churchgoers know that they are a safe space for LGBT+ churchgoers. MCC Omaha in NE, USA , MCC Tampa in FL, USA, MCC San Francisco in CA, USA and MCC Quad Cities in MS, USA shared photos of their worship space for Pride, highlighting beautiful rainbow-colored banners and various Pride flags.
Local Pride Marches and Parades
MCC Churches are involved direct visibility and active participation in local public Pride marches and festivals. Iglesia Casa de Luz ICM Monterrey and Puentes de Luz ICM Querétaro – both in Mexico, shared their excitement under a message about marching with pride. Additionally, MCC San Francisco in CA, USA posted their community calendar for Pride Month. Whosoever MCC in PA, USA is hosting an “Open Table” worship series for Pride.
ICM Guadalajara Puertas Abiertas in Mexico documented its attendance and community footprint at a local celebration, where they painted the streets near the landmark of Arcos Vallarta Guadelajara.
ICM Gadalajara Puertas Abiertas also participated in the recent Marcha del Orgullo Gdl, with participants proudly displayed placards advocating for the harmony between faith and queer identities.
On the municipal parade circuit, St. John’s MCC in NC, USA showed up directly for Pride in Wilson to represent its community.
Meanwhile, MCC Detroit in MI, USA marked the festive occasion by wishing everyone a Happy Motor City Pride.
Personal reflections were shared by Rev. Pat Langlois, who recapped an amazing day that commenced with an annual Interfaith Pride Worship Service. This collaborative gathering brought together diverse community leaders and faith groups in Los Angeles, CA. USA, including MCC-UCC in the Valley and Founders MCC Los Angeles, joined by other faith groups such as Beth Chayim Chadashim, Congregation Kol Ami, Unity Fellowship, Muslims for Progressive Values, God’s Pueblo in Boyle Heights, the Old Catholic Church, and Dignity.
“What an amazing day! It began with the annual Interfaith Pride Worship Service on the Boulevard, proudly sponsored by the Los Angeles Queer Interfaith Clergy Council (LAQUICC),” Reverend Langlois said on her Facebook post. “For nearly 30 years, we have gathered at the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and La Cienega Boulevard to bless the parade route and spread love and joy.”
Reflecting on a fantastic start to the season, Church of the Trinity MCC in FL, USA celebrated an incredible first weekend of Pride month. The church hosted its inaugural Interfaith Pride Service, bringing together faith leaders, drag queens, community leaders, people of faith, and justice partners from numerous traditions. Alongside this service, they celebrated Silver Pride in partnership with Project Pride SRQ and the Senior Friendship Centers in Sarasota, while their Young Adults enjoyed fellowship during an ice cream meetup.
MCC San Antonio in TX, USA will be having a Drag Sunday celebration on 21st June. Elder Velma Garcia (who is debuting her drag alter ego, Rey Sin P. Lotas) and Pastor Marsha Warren, amonng others, will be dressing up for the occasion. This will also be live streamed on their Facebook page.
MCC Toronto in Canada was recently awarded the Key to the City, the highest civic honor bestowed by the City of Toronto, in recognition of their historic and ongoing activism in the fight for 2SLGBTQIA+ rights. Read more here.

Founders MCC in CA, USA was recently recognized by the Los Angeles City Council District 4, in celebration of LGBTQIA+ Heritage Month, alongside its leadership, Reverend Keith Mozingo and Pastor Bam Noriega, as the district’s 2026 honorees.

ICM Brazil also participated in São Paulo Pride Week 2026 (June 4–7), held alongside the historic 30th São Paulo LGBT+ Pride Parade.
Over four dynamic days, our community stood on the front lines of faith, justice, and celebration by producing the official opening video for the Brazilian Pride Organizers Congress and coordinating critical preparatory meetings for both the Interfaith Act and our Bloco Gente de Fé (“Faithful People Bloc”) contingent. We also took the stage at the 1st Interfaith Encounter to advocate fiercely for the secular state and the universal right to spirituality. This advocacy culminated in two major public events: on June 6, we led the 5th Interfaith Act at Largo do Arouche, uniting diverse spiritual leaders under the powerful banner, “All Diversity Is Sacred. We Vote for Democracy, Against Fundamentalism,” before taking to Avenida Paulista on June 7 to march alongside thousands of beautiful souls in the Pride Parade.
In a crucial election year for Brazil, our message carried profound weight. Our presence affirmed a fundamental truth: faith and diversity walk hand-in-hand, and a secular, democratic state is essential for all life to flourish with dignity.
