Florida, USA – Join the MCC Florida Network contingent as we advocate for LGBTQ+ rights in Florida. Equality FL requests that we place priority on attending legislative committee meetings as the most effective way to fight bad legislation and enact change at the state level.
In previous years nearly all of the anti-LGBTQ bills filed in the Florida Legislature were stopped because of volunteers who showed up in person to share their stories and testify how these bills might harm them and their communities. MCC is a sponsor for this event and will have the logo imprinted on the t-shirt and an info table!
What We Need From You
Step 1 – Confirm Your Attendance (Do this first)

- Indicate which days you plan to attend (January 26, 27, and/or 28).
- This helps us apply for group scholarships to cover travel and lodging costs.
- Encourage your congregation members and friends to register, too.
Step 2 – Register with Equality Florida
- Register for Pride at the Capitol: Register for Pride at the Capitol ($15, includes lunch)
- Register for the Let Us Live March: Register for Let Us Live March
Step 3 – Reserve Your Hotel Room (special rate for our MCC group)

Rate: $159 per night (Two Queen Beds)

Attendance Options
Three Night Stay (January 25, 26 & 27) – Best Option
- Arrive mid-day on January 25 and stay overnight in Tallahassee.
- January 26 morning: Training and team assignments with Equality Florida.
- January 26 afternoon: Meet in small groups with lawmakers, share your story.
- January 27: Meet with lawmakers, attend committee meetings and press conference.
- January 27 evening: MCC members’ dinner meeting at hotel
- January 28 Attend the Let Us Live March for Trans Rights to the Florida Capitol.
- Depart for home the afternoon of January 28.
Two Night Stay (January 25 & 26 or 26 & 27)
- Same as above, but two days of legislative meetings or one day plus the Let Us Live March.
- January 27 evening: MCC members’ dinner meeting at hotel.
- Depart for home the evening of January 27 or 28 (depending on day of arrival).
One Night Stay (January 25, 26 or 27)
- Same as above with only one day of legislator meetings and/or the Let Us Live March.
- January 27 evening: MCC members’ dinner meeting at hotel.
- Depart for home the evening of January 26, 27 or 28 (depending on day of arrival).
