Rhythms & Roots Latino Heritage Festival Launches in The Heights: A Celebration of Culture, Dignity, and Community Healing
Houston, TX — August 1st— La Casa de Todos and Resurrection Metropolitan Community Church proudly announce the inaugural Rhythms & Roots Latino Heritage Festival, a community celebration uplifting the beauty, resilience, and cultural richness of Houston’s immigrant communities. The event will take place on Saturday, September 26 at 11:30 AM, located at 2025 W. 11th Street in The Heights.
This festival arrives at a crucial moment for Houston. Rhythms & Roots was created as a direct response a public declaration that Latino immigrants deserve dignity, safety, visibility, and joy.
“After the hostilities and trauma our communities have endured, this festival is more than an event, it’s an act of care,” said organizers from La Casa de Todos. “We want every immigrant family to know they are seen, valued, and celebrated. Houston’s cultural tapestry is woven from the stories, traditions, and music of people from many countries. Rhythms & Roots honors that truth.”
The festival will feature:

- A special welcome from Resurrection MCC’s new pastor Rev. George Oliver
