From August 27 to 30, 2026, discerning members of MCC gathered at the peaceful Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center’s Nelson Lodge in Bangor, Pennsylvania, USA. Surrounded by nature, participants embarked on a transformative retreat for REVM 2026—the Readiness for Entering Vocational Ministry program.

REVM serves as the official denominational intake program for MCC. It acts as the primary gateway for individuals discerning a call to ordained ministry and preparing for Professional Spiritual Leadership within our movement.

Rather than treating discernment as an isolated journey, REVM brings candidates, assessors, and mentors together to reflect deeply on identity, spiritual grounding, and the evolving needs of inclusive ministry.

Nelson Lodge provided a tranquil backdrop away from everyday distractions, allowing participants to listen closely to God’s calling. Spiritual leaders and candidates engaged in honest dialogue, mutual prayer, and collaborative workshops to explore the realities of modern vocational ministry.

Through guided sessions, individuals evaluated their personal readiness, strengths, and vision for serving diverse, affirming communities around the world.

The journey to ordained ministry requires clarity, support, and deep faith. We celebrate everyone who stepped forward during REVM 2026 to explore their calling, and we ask our worldwide church family to hold these leaders in prayer as they take their next steps toward serving MCC.
