As we approach two important dates in our shared ministry of justice and inclusion, we invite all Metropolitan Community Church communities around the world to join in remembrance, reflection, and action. The Moderator and Council of Elders will be offering a reflection for each of these important days. Click on the links below for more resources.
Trans Day of Remembrance – November 20, 2025
This day began in 1999 to honor the lives of transgender people who have been lost to violence and discrimination. It is both a time of mourning and a call to action, reminding us of the ongoing commitment to create safe and affirming spaces for all gender-diverse people.
World AIDS Day – December 1, 2025
First observed in 1988, World AIDS Day unites people globally in remembering those we have lost to HIV and AIDS. It is also a time to renew our dedication to compassion, education, and advocacy, and to stand with those living with HIV in every community.
As part of my new role as Resource Coordinator, we are pleased to begin regularly highlighting materials from the MCC Resource Folder. This shared folder is designed to support congregations and ministries with resources for worship, education, outreach, and community engagement. It is a living collection that grows through the contributions of our global community, and everyone is warmly invited to share materials that may benefit others in their ministry and mission.
